From the artist: “This was painted in inks, gouache, and watercolor, then digitally brightened to give it an ‘almost neon’ quality. The cats seemed to need that little boost of color to truly express their spirited selves. I see the work as an attempt to embody the “freedom-loving” spirit of cats.. the curiosity, pride, innocence, and of course movement. Constantly off in search of a new journey, even if just a momentary one with a piece of string. Playful, & a celebration of the life within.”
