"Dance, Dance, Dance," a new classic at J.Heloise.  This work was inspired by the work of countless dancers & choreographers through the ages.. It depicts the spellbinding qualities of movement; talent, training & grit beyond measure -- & ultimate grace.  The artist originally painted on a white background, then shifted the color range digitally to a black background & an electric color range.

Artist's Note:  "Though I grew up in the music world, I'd always admired dancers...When I took up ballet in my late 20's, I gained even greater respect for the tremendous work of dance - melding the craft of storytelling & extreme athleticism.  This piece spoke to both the theatrical/dramatic aspects and also the weightless appearance of dancers in air. To me, they seem to exist in their own plane of space, almost apart from the human world.  Dancers are remarkably hard to draw/paint; it takes years to truly understand the infinite coordinations..& capture a few favorite moments on paper. The real success is when I can capture the story of their spirit.."
